The Lake Reflections #4 - Blogging

Today we focussed on ‘Blogging’.

We began by going into groups of twos with a task of finding creative ways of expressing how we feel about blogging.

I worked with Ms. Jackson and came up with a cinquaine: 

BLOGGING

Education Edification

Informing Expressing Communication

Sharing thoughts, Experience, Feelings

Connection

Some of my colleagues came up with raps, songs, skits etc.  It was quite exciting and amusing.

We learnt how to create/save bookmarks. This was just a refresher for me.

Step by step instructions were given to the class on how to create a blog and how to create pages on the blog.  Because I had previously added my reflections as posts as opposed to pages, I had to begin the process again in order for me to be able to add a welcome page.  This was challenging.

                                   

“Posts” are a series of entries listed in reverse chronological order on the blog home page or the posts page, whereas “pages” are static and are not listed by date, and do not use tags or categories.  So there can be many posts on one page.  I learnt something new!
