Today we learnt how to create and edit movies/videos using Windows Movie
Maker and/or Filmora. I have never done
this before!
I made several unsuccessful and frustrating attempts to download the
Windows Movie Maker, only to find out that my system was somehow incompatible.
I had to resort to downloading and installing Wondershare Filmora. This too was
a tad tedious because of the internet speed, or lack thereof!
Once the download and installation were complete, under Mrs. Roberts Guidance, I was able to create and attempt to edit a short video on “Learning the Body Parts in French”. The 'editing' part is still work in progress since my computer keeps either freezing up or shutting down. My greatest area of difficulty was adding the caption to the video. I am still working on it. J I have basically grasped the concept that was being taught but the computer would just not cooperate.
When I am able to, I will have to use a different device/computer to go back and finalize the editing aspect. :(
I am still ‘green’ where this movie-making matter is concerned but I know it is something that I can master with more practice and an up-to-date computer system. I am excited about using Filmora because it will certainly help to add flavor to my foreign language lessons and grab my students’ attention.

Through all these little frustrating period though, Mrs. Roberts was
always patient and upbeat, giving step-by-step instructions. I thank her for alllllllllllll her patience
with me, especially since she had to deal with an entire class, each person
facing their own set of challenges.
THANK YOU, Mrs. Roberts.
